Andreas Frank is Senior Application Marketing Manager at Borouge International, where he drives strategic marketing, product positioning, portfolio development, and value-based pricing for specialized polyolefin solutions in hot and cold water applications, including PE-X, PP-RCT, PE-RT and PP-H. His work focuses on achieving sustainable and profitable business growth through market strategy, innovation, and circular economy initiatives.

Andreas holds a master’s degree in Polymer Engineering and Science and a PhD in the same field from Montanuniversität Leoben, Austria. Before joining Borealis, now Borouge International, he spent more than 15 years in applied polymer research and technology leadership at the Polymer Competence Center Leoben. There, he led the business area “Polymers and Composites for Structural Applications,” managing international industry collaborations, multidisciplinary teams, and research activities in plastic pipe systems, durability, recycling, and hydrogen-related applications.

He is a recognized expert in polymer pipe materials, long-term performance, and fracture-mechanics-based lifetime assessment. Andreas has authored more than 50 scientific and technical publications, delivered over 30 conference presentations, and contributed to the development and standardization of advanced testing methods for plastic pipe materials. His professional contributions also include work in international standardization and industry committees, including ISO, CEN, TEPPFA, Austrian Standards, and ÖVGW.
